§ 14-3. Scope of franchise.

  • (a)

    There is hereby granted by the county to the franchisee, the right and privilege to construct, erect, operate and maintain, in, upon, along, across, above, over and under the streets, roads and public places now laid out or dedicated, and all extensions thereof, and additions thereto, in the county, poles, wires, cables, underground conduits, manholes and other television conductors and fixtures necessary or convenient for the maintenance and operation in the county of a cable television system for the reception, sale and distribution of television and radio signals, or any other services which may legally and technically be provided.

    (b)

    The rules, regulations and standards as legally adopted by the FCC from time to time shall apply to and shall govern the operations of the franchisee of the franchise and its operations under this chapter, and are hereby expressly declared to be a part of the franchise.
