§ 10-115. Building permit requirements.

On and after the effective date of this section, any person, firm, or entity wishing to construct or erect a single family or multi-family residence within the geographical boundaries of Emanuel County, whether the same be site built, modular or manufactured, shall apply, on a form developed by the Emanuel County Tax Assessor's Office at the said assessor's office for a building permit. At a minimum, the application shall state the name of the property owner; the contractor or seller of the home if different from the property owner and the map and parcel number upon which the residence is to be located. The permit shall be displayed conspicuously on the property until such time as a 911 address is issued by Emanuel County 911.

A fee of $75.00 shall be charged for the issuance of the permit which shall be paid to the general fund of Emanuel County, Georgia.

If the said residence is to be constructed within the limits of any incorporated municipality and said municipality requires a similar permit then no permit from the Emanuel County Tax Assessor's Office shall be required.
