§ 2-241. Physical examination for prospective county employees.

  • From and after September 17, 1986, any prospective new employee of the county or its departments shall undergo a physical examination by a physician licensed to practice medicine in the state after receiving an offer of employment but prior to beginning his employment. The physician shall certify in writing to the county that the prospective employee is in good health and shall further delineate in writing any physical or medical limitations that may serve to limit the prospective employee's ability to perform certain jobs. The cost of this physical examination shall be the responsibility of the county.
