§ 2-167. Bidding required for certain purchases.

The county has established the following policy on purchasing:
(1)

All purchases and contracts in the amount of $2,000.00 or more will be let to sealed bids, which shall be opened in the presence of at least two commissioners.

(2)

All purchases of motor fuels, regardless of amount, will be covered by the policy set out in subsection (1) of this section.

(3)

Outside repair of heavy equipment and motor vehicles will not be covered under subsection (1) of this section.

(4)

The policy set out in this section may be waived by the chairman of the board of commissioners or his authorized representative in case of emergency.
