§ 14-16. Dealing in receivers restricted.

The rights and franchises granted and extended under this chapter are so granted and extended upon the express stipulation that neither the grantee, nor any assignee or successor in interest of such grantee, will, within 15 miles of the areas of the county described in this chapter at any time during the primary or any renewed or extended term hereof, engage in the business of selling or servicing radio or television receivers either directly or indirectly, or through the medium of any person in whose activities such grantee, assignee or successor has any business or financial interest, except that nothing in this section shall prohibit such grantee, assignee or successor from maintaining such receivers as are used exclusively by them in the operation of the television system with respect to which this franchise is granted.
