§ 10-1. Requests for county assistance in filling of wells on private property.

Persons who desire assistance from the county in the filling of abandoned wells must make a request to the board of commissioners or the road superintendent. Requests will be investigated by the road superintendent or other person as the board of commissioners may direct. If conditions exist as stated in the request and the magnitude of the request is reasonable in the opinion of the road superintendent or commissioners, the request will be approved providing a document is executed containing a hold harmless agreement and certification of need prior to any county equipment or personnel going on the property.
